2 dead after car hits e-bike in Marikina

Road mishaps are always terrible.

On Wednesday, Jan 29, a white Mazda Familia (WDF-432) was traveling along Gen. Ordoñez Avenue in Marikina City when it swerved to the left and hit a woman on an electric bicycle. The car continued to move until it hit a lamppost.

“The car’s driver, businessman Randy Salazar, 40, and his companion, Wilson Tariallo, 39, died on the spot while Benjamin Benabice, 52, and Julie Ann Teruftas, 30, the driver of the electric bicycle, suffered foot injuries,” reports Non Alquitran in The Philippine Star.

Benabice and Teruftas were taken to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Police officers are still investigating the accident.
