Two college students — a female and male, both 20 years old — are facing charges for drug pushing and possession of illegal drugs in the city prosecutor’s office following the drug sting at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) late Thu night, Dec 8.
“A police officer from the Taguig Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs unit had posed as a buyer. He arranged for a transaction with the female college student at around 11pm at the corner of Rizal Drive and 29th Street,” reports Dexter Cabalza on Inquirer.net.
The cop eventually met the college student inside a car parked in front of a restaurant. She presented to him 50 blue ecstasy (Blue LV) pills worth PHP47,500.
When it was revealed that she was being arrested, the female college student panicked and shouted the name of the male college student. She then called him on the phone for help.
The male college student was able to get to where the female college student was in just a few moments, as he had come from a nearby establishment. Police later discovered four yellow ecstasy pills in his coin purse.
The two students remain in detention.
According to Chief Insp. Jerry Amindalan — chief of the Taguig Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs unit — the female college student is allegedly just one of the suppliers of party drugs at upscale bars located in BGC, Timog Avenue in Quezon City, and the Ortigas area in Pasig City.
