2 alleged hitmen arrested in Manila

There’s more where they came from.

“Two alleged hired killers were arrested following a shootout at Parola Compound in Manila Wednesday night, Jan 22,” reports Aie Balagtas See in The Philippine Star.

The alleged hitmen were identified as Edward Pamiruyam, 31 and Marvin Mendano, 21. The former surrendered and was unhurt, while the latter was rushed to the hospital because his legs got shot.

Two other people were wounded in the gunfight: Police Officer 1 Anthony Quilantang and civilian William Boco. Both are are being treated at a hospital as well.

According to the police, “Pamiruyam and Mendano belong to the Sinaya gang, whose members are allegedly hired killers and responsible for the illegal drug trade in Parola and Baseco in Manila and some parts of Cavite.” The two, they said, have reportedly killed around 10 people.

Under their gang’s orders, Pamiruyam and Mendano killed drug peddlers who do not remit their earnings, police informants, or anyone who opposed their group.
