19 QC barangay employees found positive for drug use

It’s truly a facepalm moment.

“Nineteen employees from nine barangays in Quezon City were found positive of using illegal drugs during random drug tests conducted by the Office of the Vice Mayor,” reports Chito A. Chavez in Manila Bulletin.

However, Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, head of the city’s anti-drug abuse advisory council, said “the identities of the involved barangay employees will not be divulged as they will undergo drug rehabilitation.”

The report noted that the barangay workers who tested positive for illegal drug use were from Barangays Damayan, Santo Cristo, Saint Peter, Amihan, Bagumbayan, Valencia, Paang Bundok, Kaligayahan, and Gulod.
