This is one convoluted tragedy.
“On Monday, April 20, and 18-year-old woman named Dina Zamora was stabbed dead at her home in Barangay Lorega San Miguel in Cebu,” reports Dave Pajanustan on Journal Online.
The suspect was a 55-year-old man Ronalio Opura, who was the stepfather of Zamora’s female lover.
Zamora and her lover had broken up. Opura had gone to Zamora’s house so he could ask her to end her tiff with his stepdaughter. However, Opura reportedly went berserk when he saw Zamora allegedly locked in an embrace with another woman. Opura started hitting Zamora.
At some point, Opura got hold of a knife and stabbed Zamora. Opura quickly fled from the scene.
Zamora’s neighbors rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late. Her autopsy results showed that she had been stabbed nine times. Police are now hunting down Opura.
