“The body of Princess Mahusay, 18, was found by her boyfriend, Emmar Palma, 25, hanging from a beam on the second floor of her family’s Quezon City house while her parents were away for an outing in Zambales on Good Friday, April 18,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
According to Palma, he went to Mahusay’s house to visit her after they had a fight. When his knocks at the door went unheeded, he got worried. Since the door was unlocked, he went in and called out her name.
He was shocked to see her already lifeless. She had a blanket looped around her neck.
Police were called to the scene. Both Palma and Mahusay’s family are at a loss about what caused her to kill herself. Relatives only said Mahusay got scolded by her parents sometime before they left the house.
