15-year-old boy in Marikina shoots his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend

A 15-year-old out-of-school youth shot his former girlfriend’s boyfriend in the early hours of Tue, Sep 1, in Barangay Tumana, Marikina City.

“The victim, Danilo de Luna Jr., 16, sustained a gunshot wound in the head. He was declared ‘brain dead’ by doctors at the St. Vincent Hospital and died while being treated,” reports Non Alquitran in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “De Luna, his 15-year-old girlfriend, and some of their friends were playing cards along Mais Street. The suspect arrived in the area at about 12:25am.”

The two boys then engaged in a heated argument over De Luna’s girlfriend. However, people in the area intervened. The suspect left, but he came back a few minutes later with a handgun. He shot De Luna at close range.

The suspect quickly fled after he shot De Luna. The city police has launched a manhunt for him. The suspect has not been identified by name in reports.
