Police are looking for a suspect who raped a 13-year-old girl who was fetching her sibling at San Agustin Elementary School in Novaliches, Quezon City.
CCTV footage shows the suspect wandering inside the campus, pretending to be looking for a wallet, before talking to the victim.
Police said the suspect forcibly pulled the victim inside a restroom, tied her hands and then raped her. SPO3 Lilibeth Aguilar of the Quezon City Police District said the suspect pointed a knife at the victim during the rape.
“Sabi ‘holdap ito.’ Dun na siya inabuso,” she said.
A school teacher then chanced on the crime being committed, forcing the suspect to run away.
Aguilar criticized the school’s security for failing to stop the suspect from entering and leaving the campus.
“Kasi kita naman na bakit hindi kinapkapan man lamang at hindi hiningan ng ID,” she said.
School authorities have yet to issue a statement about the crime.
