Where are these kids’ parents?
At around 1:45am on Mon, Feb 21, a 12-year-old boy (other accounts say he is 13) was accosted by three other boys aged 12, 13, and 19 years old along Dr. A. Santos Drive in Barangay BF Homes in Parañaque City.
According to a dzMM report, the trio overpowered the 12-year-old. They tied him up and stuffed a sock in his mouth before covering him with dried leaves, pieces of cardboard, and then setting him on fire.
Barangay officials found the victim crying as he lay on the street. The kid is now being treated for third degree burns at the Philippine General Hospital.
Police have said that the assault is linked to the gang wars in the area.
The two underage suspects have been turned over to the Bahay Pag-asa of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The 19-year-old suspect is now detained at the Parañaque City Police Station.
