The Army and Navy Club pool in Kalaw street, Manila, claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy on Sunday afternoon.
John Roland Soriano was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila, but attending physicians failed to revive him. According to the Philippine Star, Soriano went to the Army and Navy Club accompanied by his mother. He was later heard shouting for help as he tried to swim to the other side of the pool.
