10-year-old girl helps catch thieves

Kids could be the best witnesses.

“It took a 10-year-old girl’s testimony to nab Justine de Lima, 18 and Genesis Antonio, 22—the thieves who had broken into a unit in Chateau Valenzuela Condominiums in Barangay Lingunan, Valenzuela City last week,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

De Lima and Antonio, who are also residents in the building, stole nearly PHP170,000 in valuables from the unit of Nancy Pelayo. The 10-year-old girl lives in a unit near Pelayo’s. She had gone out to see what the ruckus was about when the thieves did their thing. The thieves told her they were only “visiting” their “friend’s” place. Pelayo only found out about the robbery earlier this week.

The girl positively identified the thieves when she was asked by the police.
