Who did it and why haven’t they been caught yet?

“Police are eyeing extortion as the possible motive in the bus explosion that killed 10 people and injured 41 more in Maramag, Bukidnon on Tuesday, December 9,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “The Rural Transit Mindanao Incorporated (RTMI) bus with body number 2640 was headed to Cagayan de Oro from North Cotabato when the explosion occurred. The blast took place outside the Central Mindanao University (CMU) at 5:45pm. Most of the casualties were students.”

Police said that this is the second bomb attack on the bus company. The first one, which happened just last month after RTMI management allegedly refused to give in to the extortion demand of a certain group.

The report indicated that “authorities earlier said a member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) could have planted the explosive in the first bombing.”

The fatalities include:

1. Gonzaga, Niezel Dee, 22, CMU student
2. Michael Bustos, San Agustin Institute of Technology student
