“On Tuesday morning, May 27, Wilfredo Reyes, 51, died after the dump truck he was driving crashed into a 10-wheeler truck in front of it along Katipunan Avenue near Blue Ridge Subdivision,” reports dzMM correspondent Johnson Manabaton ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) rescuers, Reyes pronounced dead on arrival at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center “after getting stuck inside the heavily damaged truck for hours.”
His 17-year-old passenger, who was sleeping when the crash happened, survived, sustaining only minor injuries.
The truck that Reyes was driving came from Laguna and was supposed to deliver charcoal to Navotas.
