Very few things are as uncomfortable as watching your own girlfriend make out with another man, but that’s exactly what Billy Crawford did to show his undying love for Coleen Garcia.
Everyone would have understood if Billy wanted a private viewing of Ex with Benefits, but the It’s Showtime host chose to sit through the premiere of the film, and now he’s saying he couldn’t help but cringe at some of the love scenes.
“Siyempre hindi mo maiiwasan to cringe bilang you are the partner in real life. You can’t help but to cringe from time to time but at the end of the day, I know I have to make my own sacrifices for her happiness and what she wants to accomplish in her career,” he told ABS-CBN News.
Billy also told his mother station that he didn’t close his eyes during the steamy portions between Coleen and Derek Ramsay, because it’s all a part of their job as actors.
“But I had all trust with Coleen and I had faith in Gino (Santos, director) na hindi naman niya bababuyin to make it look disgusting,” he said.
Anyway, save for those awkward moments for the real-life BF, Billy said the movie was well-done.
“It is PG-13 and it’s self-explanatory. If the title of the movie is Ex with Benefits, you know what it’s about. But it’s deeper than that. The film actually has substance. It not just the typical sex and getting back with each other. It actually says something about relationships,” he said.
What a great lesson for 13-year olds and up.
