Basti Artadi would like you to know that he is not dying any time soon.
The Wolfgang lead vocalist made headlines when he revealed in a Facebook post on Tue, Jun 21 that he has a tumor in his head that caused the right side of his face to become paralyzed.

But in a follow-up Facebook post on Wed, Jun 21, Basti clarified that he does not have brain tumor, contrary to what was initially reported in the news.
What he has, Basti explained, is a “benign facial nerve tumor.”
“I do NOT have a brain tumor as what’s being reported in the news. I have a BENIGN facial nerve tumor that affects the movement of my face. Unfortunately, in my line of work, this means a lot. So as mentioned in my previous post, I intend to have the procedure that will help my situation. I’ve got it planned out, just waiting for the right time to do it,” he wrote.
As previously reported, Basti is selling t-shirts to help him fund the procedure, which he called a “facial sling,” that would temporarily help his situation.
“There’s a ton of stuff still to do in this beautiful music industry of ours and I intend to be around for every sweat drenched rock n roll moment of it!” Basti said.
Basti’s statement today echoes his tweets yesterday, wherein he also clarified that his tumor is “not a brain tumor” and that “you’re stuck with a bit longer” because he’s not dying.
Guys I’m just selling shirts!! Just get a shirt that is all! Thank you!

Luckily, his condition isn’t stopping him from rocking the stage just yet.
Basti is part of 9Work Theatricals’ local adaptation of the Broadway musical American Idiot, which will run from Jun 24 to Jun 10 at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater in Taguig City.
