The fifth annual Quezon City International Film Festival (QCinema) closed yesterday with the awards ceremony for this year’s entries.
Winners and nominees were announced last night at the Novotel Hotel in Quezon City.
Balangiga: Howling Wilderness, a film that revolves around children after the Balangiga Massacre during the American occupation of the Philippines, took home the award for best film. Its lead actor, 10-year-old Justine Samson, who made his acting debut in the film, won the award for best actor.
