Money, fame, a successful career and a delicious boyfriend — television personality Sarah Geronimo has everything that most of us can only dream of.
What else could the “Tala” singer want at this point of her life?
With all the good things coming her way, the 28-year-old star says that she now wants to focus on giving back.
“More outreach pa… Gusto ko ma-experience umakyat ng bundok at makita ‘yung mga katutubong kababayan doon… Makapagbigay lang ng entertainment sa mga bata sa bundok, siguro malaking bagay na ‘yon,” she said during a toy-making activity hosted by Manulife Philippines for the underprivileged kids of Gawad Kalinga.

(“More outreach programs… I want to experience climbing mountains to see the native tribes there… I want to entertain kids in the mountains, perhaps that’s already something big…”)
Sarah just took a two-month break from showbiz to focus on her health. She got to tick off items from her bucket list, like climbing mountains and swimming with the butandings.
She said that she is now more energized and motivated to work after her break.

“I’m at a stage where I’m always asking ano bang purpose ko? Bat ko ba ito ginagawa? Ano ba ang kulang? And then I realized that you don’t work para mapuno ‘yung concert venue, para maging superhit lahat ng songs mo…. Ang main goal pala dapat is to share.”
(“I’m at a stage where I am always asking what’s my purpose? Why am I doing this? What else is lacking? And then I realized that you don’t work to fill up a concert venue or to turn all your songs to be superhits… The main goal is to share.”)
This, however, doesn’t mean that that her career is taking a backseat.
Sarah wants to focus more on her music and promote it. Also, they are now at the planning stage of a concert and a possible movie.
When asked if a re-make of the 1996 Viva movie Do-Re-Mi is on the works as suggested by a post on Rachelle Anne Go’s Instagram page, Sarah excitedly said that it would be an honor to play the role of Mikee Cojuangco, but she said that there are no concrete plans yet.
“Kung totoohanin, why not? It would be an honor to remake Do-Re-MI,” she said.
