Hollywod star Sarah Jessica Parker was in the country for just a few days but the impact was so huge. Flown to Manila to promote the new SM mall SM Aura at The Fort, SJP participated in a well-attended press conference plus some intimate interviews with some members of the media.

Sure, the “exclusive” interviews and the TV features have all been entertaining, but for some really awesome inside info, we’ve got Jason Alvarez to thank. He’s the digital marketing senior manager of SM Retail and he got to spend three days with he Hollywood star when she was here.
According to Jason, when they arrived at the hotel, SJP was on her way to the elevator when she stopped to admire the quarter playing “New York, New York.”

He says, “She was all smiles and applauded as soon as the song was over and exclaimed ‘That’s beautiful. I’m gonna love this hotel.’”
SJP was pleased with her presidential suite and didn’t take long to freshen up for fitting.
The next day, SJP’s personal assistant told Jason that the “Sex and the City” star would like to move to another suite — a smaller one.

That wasn’t the only wow moment that Jason experienced with SJP. When they left the hotel, SJP saw the limo and asked Jason if they could take the van instead. As in the ordinary Toyota van, saying that the limo’s much too luxuriously and that she’d rather travel simply.
At the shoot, the star was a professional, according to Jason. “She was FANTASTIC! On pointe in every shot! She posed, expressed, breathed life into characterizations that excited everyone in the room, leaving all of us smiling and just smitten by her outstanding skill in modeling. She was not simply modeling but she was “selling” each shot perfectly!”

And then yet another wow moment. For dinner, she said she wanted to “go somewhere truly Filipino. Not anything fancy.” Jason shares that they ended up eating in a regular restaurant and that she tried bagoong rice, sisig, inihaw na liempo, lechon kawali and many more.

On her last day, SJP “gave everyone a good time,” says Jason. “She smiled, talked to people, had pictures taken with them, stopped to hold a kid, presented herself in a most genuine way!”
