Liezl Martinez was cremated yesterday, March 16, 2015, and family and friends from showbiz were in attendance, including parents Amalia Fuentes and Romeo Vasquez.
The ceremony was not yet finished when Amalia stormed out and expressed her feelings to the press. She said that their names were not mentioned even if they went home to the Philippines from the USA. She claimed that no one talked to her or gave her the schedule.
The mother also explained that Liezl is irreplaceable. Albert can remarry. Their kids can eventually have mothers-in-law, but she will never have another child, considering Liezel has no siblings.
“All this time, they shut me off from her life because they wanted sila-sila. Ako, I was just in the sidelines, just watching that Liezl is alright,” she told press.
She also said that their pictures together being sweet were just for publicity. “Hindi yan totoo. It is in the heart and Liezl knows that. And I was there,” she said, adding an example: “The last time I talked to her, she was all alone in her bedroom and she was crying. She was alone, for heaven’s sake! Her children… Alyssa was in school, Albert was taping. She was left alone and I was there for her.”
She emphasized that she stepped back when Liezl got married but she just wants to be part again of her life during Liezl’s last days.
