Catch a local action film in theaters

Date: Starts April 5, Friday
Venue: Cine Adarna, UPFI Film Center, Magsaysay Ave., Diliman, Quezon City
It’s been six years since the Filipino action film On the Job (OTJ) received a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, but the film continues to grab people’s attention to this day.
Those who would like to see the Erik Matti film again on the big screen can do so at the UPFI Film Center this Friday at 5pm, for only PHP150 (US$2.88) per person.
Another one of Matti’s films, Honor Thy Father, will also be screened at the cinema on the same day at 7pm. His films, including last year’s BuyBust, will be shown at the UPFI Film Center this month.

Plan your next vacation

Date: April 5-7 (Friday-Sunday)
Venue: SMX Convention Center, Seashell Ln., Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
Traveling the world has never been easier — but even with the advent of low-cost carriers and online ticketing platforms, for many of us, flying still comes at a hefty price. This weekend, the World Travel Lifestyle Expo gets industry professionals under one roof, offering deals on flights, accommodations, and tours for international and domestic destinations.
It will once again be held this entire weekend at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Should be a good one for those who have the travel bug but don’t want their wanderlust to break the bank.
