The Kapamilya Network is remaking the hit soap Pangako Sa’yo and we’re pretty sure it’ll be a hit. Not only is it targeting today’s viewers by putting some of their biggest stars (including Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, of course), they are also targeting the oldies who got to see the original series way back.
So what’s different? Here’s a comparison.
The original was shown back in 2000. The remake will be shown after 15 years.
Kristine Hermosa was 17 when she portrayed Yna; Kathryn Bernardo, 18, will play the character next year.
Angelo was played by Jericho Rosales when he was 21; Daniel Padilla, 19, will portray the character in 2015.
Eula Valdez was 31 when she played Amor Powers; the one who will play it now, Jodi Sta. Maria, is 32.
Jean Garcia portrayed the role Claudia Buenavista when she was 31; 28-year old Angelica Panganiban will play the role next year.
