The Dear Heart love team finally reunited after 26 years! People of all ages could not help but feel the all-too-familiar kilig (the Filipino word for romantic excitement) we all felt decades ago when they were still together.
In this aww-inducing commercial for McDonald’s, Sharon was eating fried chicken by herself when Gabby spotted her and asked, “Do you mind if I join you?”
Then our collective jaws dropped.
Sharon, stifling a smile, answered in Tagalog, “Ikaw naman, parang wala tayong pinagsamahan.” (It’s not like we haven’t been through a lot of things together.)
Their chemistry is still there and one still can’t help smile watching them together. And with that beautiful acoustic version of Willy Cruz’s “Kamusta Ka?” (How are you?) by singer-songwriter Thyro Alfaro, Filipinos everywhere sighed in collective kilig.
Sharon also posted some behind-the-scenes photos and videos while they were shooting the commercial.
As of posting, the commercial has been viewed over 569,000 times on YouTube and 5.6 million on Facebook.
