As Japan has made manga and anime an official cultural export, and as Korea was able to drive a Korean wave worldwide, the Philippines has its own contender in the pop-culture conversation in… drumroll please… teleseryes!
Remember the romantic comedy Forevermore from ABS-CBN? Well the Kapamilya TV series is set to reach a new set of audiences as the company slowly releases some English-dubbed episodes.
According to ABS-CBN, the series “proved to be a hit both locally and internationally, prompting ABS-CBN to release a dubbed version in countries, such as Kazakhstan, Cambodia and Vietnam.”
At least three 50-minute installments are now available online.
Forevermore, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, features the love team of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. Some of the major scenes were set in a fictitious strawberry farm in La Presa, Benguet. The show ended last May.
