You read that right—the Philippine edition of Vogue is finally coming to print.

Vogue Philippines, the 29th edition of the international title is coming to local shores through a partnership with its publisher, Condé Nast, and MEGA Global Licensing, Inc.

MEGA Global Licensing is the sister company of One Mega Group, which publishes local titles such as MEGA Magazine, Lifestyle Asia, BluPrint, OneMega.com, and Modern Parenting.

Citing the country’s “growing luxury fashion market and a vibrant creative scene,” Vogue Philippines is envisioned as a “digital-first media brand with a monthly print edition” and is set to launch in September 2022.

One Mega Group president Suki Salvador also posted about the coming of Vogue Philippines through a post on Instagram with an image of a blank magazine that read “Vogue Philippines.”

“Happy to share that we are finally getting our own Vogue. Yes, VOGUE PHILIPPINES is arriving in 2022! This is for you (Philippines),” Salvador wrote on Facebook.

MEGA CEO Archie Carrasco revealed on his Instagram page that Vogue Philippines took two years in the making.

“The Filipino talent has been ready to be received by the world for decades now, and with certainty, I can say that the market, too, is finally ready. The two are meeting at the perfect juncture, at the perfect time, and the long wait is over. We are excited to announce the arrival of #VoguePhilippines,” Carrasco wrote.

Vogue Philippines is set to showcase the country’s rich culture, diversity and incredible talent in fashion and beauty,” MEGA wrote on their website. “A brand new and original voice tuned to the standards of the Vogue brand, it will serve a uniquely Filipino perspective on the global fashion scene, setting a continuous dialogue between its local and international audience.”

Vogue has long played a role in the Philippine fashion and beauty scenes, serving as both inspiration and aspiration for many dedicated fashion followers and creatives,” MEGA added.

The publishing group cited the numerous Filipino talent that has been featured in various editions of Vogue, including accessory designer Bea Valdes in Vogue and Vogue UK, Michael Cinco, Furne One and Ezra Santos inVogue Arabia, and model Hannah Locsin in Vogue Japan.

Supermodel Kelsey Merritt and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray have also been featured on Vogue’s multimedia platforms.

“So it’s about time that the fashion bible zoned in on the country’s rich heritage, creative people and dynamic, progressive fashion scene—not to mention its burgeoning luxury market,” MEGA wrote.

Founded in New York City, Vogue is a monthly fashion and lifestyle magazine that covers many topics, including fashion, beauty, culture, living, and the runway.
