In a video he posted on his YouTube channel yesterday, Filipino-American vlogger Wil Dasovich said that while chemotherapy for his colon cancer seems to be going well, doctors said that he might also have a problem with his lungs.
“The initial tumor in my colon ha shrunken. the bad news is that, which you guys are aware of now is they found something in my lungs,” he said in the video. “It’s the first time I’ve ever really felt like fear of just great fear.”
Dasovich said that it could be a lung infection but that doctors aren’t sure what the problem is yet and can’t rule out cancer for now.
“And the worst part for me is that they can’t rule out that it’s cancer. And that’s, that’s all I wanna hear is that it’s not cancer, and they could not rule that out,” he said.
But aside from his lungs, Dasovich said that he’s actually been doing really well. He said he thought everything was going great because he’s been dealing with the chemotherapy well and has been active, even exercising and vlogging regularly.
“There was a lot of times I even forgot I have cancer because everything’s going so well. I’m still very fit and what not,” he said.
Because of what the doctors found in his lungs, Dasovich will have to stop chemotherapy for now. He explained that continuing with his chemotherapy may be dangerous if he had an infection in his lungs because his immune system won’t be able to detect it.
He said that the next step for him is to meet with a doctor that specializes on lungs and to undergo another round of medical tests to find out what’s going on.
In August, Dasovich announced in a vlog that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
Apart from his YouTube channel, the vlogger is also known for being a housemate in the local edition of the reality show Big Brother.
