Vivian Velez quits soap opera due to Cristine Reyes’ alleged bad behavior

“With much trepidation, I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, Tubig at Langis. I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!”

With those words posted on her Facebook page, actress Vivian Velez had everyone scurrying to find out who she was referring to and what exactly happened on the set of the said soap opera.

In a PEP.ph interview, Velez confirmed that she was referring to her Tubig at Langis co-star Cristine Reyes. Velez was quoted as saying, “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own. She bangs the doors, shouted at me. She keeps on singing ‘Goodbye, Farewell’ in front of my face while we are rehearsing.”

Velez said she’ll still have to talk to the show’s producers but that her mind was made up about resigning.

Ironically, in the soap, Velez plays Reyes’ scheming mother-in-law. Reyes, on the other hand, plays a “martyr” sort of character.
