A 32-year-old policewoman’s compilation of Dubsmash videos has gone viral, garnering over 300,000 views. (We’ve embedded the video below.)
The cop is PO1 Jenny Ian Lee-Kalayakan, a police community relations officer and a resident of Barangay San Jose Gusu in Zamboanga City.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Kalayakan thanked all those who appreciated and shared her Dubsmash clips, which feature quotes from various personalities and movies, as well as lines from different songs.
According to Kalayakan, she did not expect that her videos would become viral, noting that she she just made the clips during her free time last April.
The Dubsmash “Pulis Edition” was originally the idea of PO2 Mary Grace Francisco, the officer-in-charge of the regional anti-cybercrime office 9 based in Camp Batalla where Kalayakan is currently assigned.
“The original plan was Dubsmash with all of us dubbing, but we cannot hit the timing as what Kalayakan has been doing,” Francisco said.
As of 4:24pm on Friday, May 8, Kalakayan’s compilation of Dubsmash videos has reached 322,121 views, 10,283 likes and 8,326 shares.
