Update (5:55pm, Aug 18): While Candy magazine cannot confirm if the girl in the blurry photo with Alden Richards is indeed Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub, the teen magazine dug up on the matter and found out two things that will lead an #AlDub fan to be 98.99% sure the photo was of AlDub.
First, Yaya Dub was there at the fair. Witness exhibit A, a tweet of her excitement:

And second, she had ugly photos of the fair. Check out a post-fair tweet expressing her disappointment at her, ehem, blurry photos.

Exactly everybody’s problem with the photo, no?
In any case, Candy confirms Alden was there five years ago, as a little-known Candy cutie who went by the name Richard Faulkerson.

Or maybe that’s not them?
The photo above is getting so much attention online for two reasons. First, because it features two people who look like Alden Richards and Yaya Dub. And second, because Alden and Yaya Dub have famously said they’ve yet to meet each other IRL.
The photo was published on controversial blog Fashion Pulis on Tuesday. It was sent by a reader.
It features what looks to be Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub and Alden Richards together at the 2010 Candy Fair. Candy Fair is just one of the several annual events of the local teen magazine.
Note, Coconauts the operative worse: ‘what looks to be’. Because look, the photo is all blurry.
While we’re pretty positive the boy is Alden — Alden was a Candy Cutie in 2010! — we can’t say the same with Yaya Dub.
According to the viral photo, Alden was just a 17-year-old model here, while Yaya Dub was just a 14-year-old fan.
If it turns out that it is indeed Yaya Dub with Alden in the photo, then destiny, we’re all yours.
In the meantime, we’re making calls and trolling the Internet to confirm this alleged meeting.
