Now that’s how you command attention on the red carpet!
Brillante Mendoza is currently in France for the 69th Cannes Film Festival, where his film Ma’Rosa is part of the main competition. He is accompanied by his stars Andi Eigenmann, Jaclyn Jose, and Neil Ryan Sese, among others.

According to Bayani San Diego of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Mendoza received a standing ovation at the premiere of Ma’Rosa.
But instead of celebrating the fact that Mendoza made it to the Cannes again, it was Ma’Rosa star Maria Isabel Lopez who captivated the attention of social media.
In the photos that were released by the official Cannes Film Festival Facebook page on Wed, May 18, Maria Isabel can be seen wearing a flowing green gown (reportedly by Albert Andrada) — a stark contrast to what the Ma’Rosa director and cast were wearing on the red carpet. Needless to say, Pinoy netizens were quick to point out that it looked like Maria Isabel was dressed for the Miss Universe and not the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

To be fair, Andi was also stunning on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. In an Instagram post, the 25-year-old actress said her Cannes moment is something she would treasure forever.
