Well, the haters can suck on this.
Our colleagues over at Coconuts Bangkok shared this good news yesterday: Over the weekend, Thai national Nararuj “Mond” Kaendi married his German boyfriend Thorsten Middlehof in a lovely wedding in Aachen, Germany. Mond even cutely called it the “Mondsten Wedding”.
We first got obsessed with the couple last April, when their photo was uploaded online. We thought they looked like a handsome couple, but they made an easy target — even, we are sorry to say, from netizens in the Philippines. Homophobes, racists, and the devil all got together and trolled the couple.
Then, the 29-year-old Thai told reporters that the photo was a violation of privacy. “Taking photos of people like that is no different than filming under a woman’s skirt. It’s a violation of privacy. The first caption I saw was ‘I’ll have to make my face ugly (to get a hot guy).
He wanted the person who uploaded their photo to apologize. But we guess Mond deserves better than apologies. Look! Happily ever after!
