ICYMI: Disney alum Vanessa Hudgens is in the Philippines to shoot a travel documentary with Paul Soriano, and is clearly enjoying her time in Palawan.

Vanessa posted snaps of her taking a dip in the sea at Pangulasian Island, which is home to the luxury hideaway El Nido Pangulasian Islands Resort. In tow are her mother, Gina Guangco, who hails from the Philippines, and her younger sister, Stella.

Her post was simply captioned with “Paradise.”

It is the Filipino-American actress’ first time to visit the Philippines, where she is expected to shoot the still-untitled project in Palawan as well as Manila. Palawan, of course, has risen as one of the world’s top island destinations in the past decade, and was most recently named as the Most Desirable Island at the 21st Wanderlust Travel Awards in the UK in November.

The film will also feature her mother Gina, as well as her younger sister, Stella, and showcase the relationship between them.

Meanwhile, Soriano is also attached to the film as producer and executive producer. Mark A. Victor of TEN17P, a film production company Soriano co-founded, will also serve as executive producer.

With Soriano’s heavy involvement in the project and his connections to the current administration, there’s been some speculation online that this project could mean that Hudgens will serve as an official tourism ambassador for the Philippines.
