After Ciara Sotto confirmed on Friday that she had already left her husband Jojo Oconer and was back in her parent’s house, the entertainment press started playing the blame game.
Blind items quickly escalated, finally producing a name: Valeen Montenegro.
A backgrounder: Valeen Montenegro is a Kapuso actress, who is a cohost on Sunday Pinasaya. She also appears in the daily The Princess and the Palace, where incidentally Ciara is also a cast member.
Oh but another incidental: Ciara’s husband Jojo Oconer, is an executive of APT Entertainment, which produces the show.
Montenegro started as a Kapamilya, then made her way to the Kapatid Network, and finally settled in as a Kapuso just last year. She is also an FHM cover girl, landing on the July 2015 cover of the rag.
While Montenegro has yet to address the issue personally, according to Interaksyon, her manager Olive de Jesus has denied the heavy hitting accusations.
Since admitting the separation, Ciara has continued insinuating that there is indeed a third party on her social media channels.
