Fans loved Catriona Gray’s photos with her “twin” after the Miss Universe 2018 winner attended the launch of her wax figure at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Singapore.
The former Miss Universe said that she was honored and flattered to be the only Filipino wax figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore.
Naturally, fans loved the uncanny resemblance between Catriona and her wax figure.
The beauty queen also shared tidbits about her wax figure’s lava dress made by Pampanga-based designer Mak Tumang, the very same one who helmed her now-iconic gown.
“Also for those that are curious! @maktumang created an ah-mazing replica lava gown! The small differences on the neckline are to hide the “seams” where the head of the wax figure fit onto the body! The lava gowns mesh base presented a challenge but Mak masterfully worked around these,” she shared online.
Catriona also shared that fans will be able to do her signature “lava walk” as performed in the Miss Universe 2018 coronation night.
“We chose the “final walk” look from @missuniverse sans MU sash and crown, because the interactive concept is to “LavaWalk” with me.”
According to the Madame Tussauds website, Catriona’s wax figure will stay in Singapore for a limited period before it makes its tours in Bangkok and Hong Kong.
Another Filipino Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, has previously had a wax figure made after her in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
