At New York’s second annual ethical pop-up shop, The Jewel and Lotus Ehtical Marketplace, Twinkle Ferraren’s ethnic designs are a massive hit.
The fashionable set lauded the Filipino fashion designer not just for the unique, tribal and ethnic references but also for their wearability.
She put on display her accessories, fashion and swimwear lines, all made with and featuring indigenous handwoven textiles, natural materials, and artisn craftmanship.
Twinkle Ferraren is a Filipina fashion designer who successfully translates her passion for preserving Philippine culture into her designs. The result? “Wearable ethnic designs relevant to the modern fashionista,” writes Don Tagala on ABS-CBN.
“Ferraren has been working with ethnic and tribal communities around the Philippines to find special heritage materials that would give her designs a distinct Filipino look,” continues the report.
