Actress Liza Soberano, considered one of the prettiest faces in local showbiz, hopes people start to look past her spellbinding beauty and focus on her talent.
In a bloggers’ conference on Friday, the 19-year-old acknowledges that she feels offended when people focus too much on her captivating looks.
“And there are times na kunwari nagpe-perform na ako, I know I’m not the best dancer out there. But then I feel down about what I did during the production, lalapit sila sa akin and say: ‘OK lang ‘yan, maganda ka naman,” Soberano said.
“Sometimes it gets to a point that it starts hurting me na kasi ‘yon na lang ang pinapansin and I try so hard to prove that I’m not just that. But still they can’t see past that.”
Soberano said there’s more she can offer than an enchanting face.
“I know that I am capable of much more than that,” she said.
In a recent interview, Soberano said she actually “feels ugly” most of the time, especially on her red days.
Soberano’s beauty has been deemed worthy of the Miss Universe competition.
