Excited to see Ariella Arida compete in the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Moscow, Russia this November 9? There are two more beauties you may want to cheer for as well: Miss Canada and Miss Gabon, who both have Pinoy roots.

Miss Canada Riza Santos is a beau-con veteran (she’s joined Miss Earth Canada 2006, Miss World Canada 2011, and Miss World 2011). She was proclaimed first runner-up in the recent Miss Universe Canada pageant. As it turns out, she’s the actual Miss Universe Canada. There was just a boo-boo transferring the handwritten scores into the computer.

And then there is Jennifer Ondo from Gabon, whose mother is Filipina. She doesn’t look very Pinay but when you stare at her, then you eventually see it. And she’s got the Venus Raj vibe, too.
So there, three beauties you may want to support. But since some other countries haven’t crowned their candidate yet, we might just see some more ‘Pinay’-blooded global beauties in the pageant.
