Tacloban’s Reo brothers top the Mar 9-15 charts

Remember the Reo brothers? They’re the band of brothers from Tacloban playing Beatles, Beach Boys and the like. In 2013, they survived but were displaced by Yolanda. It’s been tough but the super typhoon also opened a few doors for them.

Following Yolanda, the brothers have been invited to perform in spectacular venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden, London’s Cavern Club in Liverpool — the birthplace of The Beatles, mind — Japan, and most recently in Australia.

They’ve also recorded and released a record called “Reo Brothers,” under Star Records, which according to the papers today, has topped not just the OPM charts of Odyssey Music and Video but overall sales in the week of March 9-15. The record even overtook the likes of Ed Sheeran’s and Taylor Swift’s albums.

Go guys! We hope your record turns platinum! In the meantime, watch our original video with the Reo Brothers.
