Optical media Board Chairman Ronnie Ricketts got suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman for neglect of duty, together with four others.
The Office is also ordering the filing of criminal charges against them for graft and corruption, according to ABS-CBN News.
What happened?
Back in May 27, 2010, the OMB team seized over a hundred boxes containing pirated DVDs. They also arrested three Chinese nationals.
According to an investigation, the items were brought to the OMB office but were also pulled out the same night.
The thing is that the truck that pulled out the items were from the raided establishment (Sky High Marketing Corporation)—and they didn’t have an approved gate pass.
Suspended together with Ronnie Ricketts are executive director Cyrus Paul Valenzuela, head of enforcement Manuel Mangubat, investigation agent Joseph Arnaldo, and computer operator Glenn Perez.
