Well, someone messed with the wrong supermodel.
American national Karlie Kloss took to Twitter on Tue, Jun 7, to vent her anger at the Philippines’ national flag carrier.
Her tweet: “@flyPAL has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME. Most BUDGET AIRLINE. Rude & disrespectful. Shame on You @flyPAL.”
Accompanying the message, which was broadcast to over one million of her followers, was a picture of the 23-year-old model at the airline’s check-in counter.
Superimposed on the photo were these words: “No one flys (sic) Philippines Arlines….(sic) And now I know why.”

Karlie has done campaigns for brands such as Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Versace and Calvin Klein. She is also one of Taylor Swift’s best friends. Influential in her neck of the woods.
Philippine Airlines responded to Karlie’s complaint via Twitter.
@karliekloss Hi, Karlie. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the disappointment you felt.

@karliekloss Please let us know your concern and your ticket details through DM so we may assist you properly. Thank you.

@karliekloss Hi! This matter has been escalated to our Customer Relations Office.

Last we heard, Karlie told PAL that she would be sending them a direct message. Coconuts Manila has also asked PAL for a statement and we’ll post it here as soon as we have it.
We have a few questions, though.
Will the two parties manage to patch things up? Why was Karlie flying with Philippine Airlines in the first place? Does this mean Taylor Swift won’t be flying with Philippine Airlines any time soon?
These are burning questions that need to be answered fast! In the meantime, the only thing we can say with certainty is that Karlie missed her flight.
