Sting to perform in Manila in October

Grammy Award-winning musician Sting will be performing in Manila on Oct. 2!

Event producer Ovation Productions made the big announcement on its Facebook page today.

The concert will be at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

The former The Police frontman will be in the Philippines to promote his new album My Songs.

His 14th studio album, it contains 15 reworked versions of his most popular songs both as a member of The Police and as a solo performer, including Every Breath You Take, Fields of Gold, and Englishman in New York.

Tickets will be sold on Ticket Net starting July 3 at 10am.

Ticket prices are as follows: PHP2,640 (US$51.53), PHP3,700 (US$72.22), PHP6,685 (US$130.49), PHP7,920 (US$154.40), PHP13,200 (US$257.67), PHP16,370 (US$319.55), PHP18,480 (US$360.74), and PHP20,595 (US$402.06).

Sting first became famous as part of The Police, one of the most successful bands in the 1970s and 1980s. He became even more famous after he left the band and went solo in 1985. He also ventured into acting and has appeared on television, movies, and theater.

He’s also an activist and is one of the founders of the Rainforest Foundation Fund, a charity that helps indigenous peoples defend their rights and promote sustainable development in their communities.

Starting May 2020, he will headline a residency at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas where he will perform his classic songs and showcase his most memorable music videos.
