Start the revolution of your imagination at the Active Vista Film Festival

It’s hard to believe but, yes, it’s been 30 years since the EDSA Revolution!

To mark the anniversary, an organization pushing for social transformation through the power of art and imagination has organized an international film festival focusing on human rights issues.

Called “Active Vista,” it is a word play on the Tagalog word for activist.

The week-long festival runs from Feb 22 to 27 and opened last night with a screening of Truth x Imagination by KHAVN, a mix of science-fiction and satire focusing on the Philippines of 2030.

Other must-watch movies are Jun Lana’s Barber’s Tales (Feb 25) and Pepe Diokno’s Kapatiran (Feb 26).

On Feb 27, simultaneous screenings will take place at the UP Film Center, Iloilo and Davao.

Active Vista is organized by DAKILA, founded by Lourd de Veyra, Noel Cabangon, Ronnie Lazaro, Parokya ni Edgar bassist Buwi Meneses and the late comedian Tado.
