NBA to stage 1st pre-season game in the country

This is no rumor. It’s official.

The NBA is set to stage the first-ever NBA pre-season game on the country at the SM Mall of Asia Arena this coming October 10, 2013.

With the help of and partnership with SM, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has agreed to hold an NBA pre-season game in the Philippines. It is also the first NBA game that will take place in the South East Asia. They have agreed to bring the exciting young teams of the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers.

This is great news for Pinoy basketball crazies who’ll finally have a chance to experience a real NBA game featuring these two NBA Eastern conference contenders.

The Houston Rockets are led by the dynamic duo of All-Star James Harden and Linsanity phenom Jeremy Lin. The Indiana Pacers, on the other hand, have a bolstered line up consisting of All-Star Paul George, and former All-Stars David West and Roy Hibbert.

Here’s a quick look on what to expect on October 10:

The NBA will also be bringing over the teams’ corresponding mascots and cheerleaders to give the MOA arena a complete NBA experience during the big event.

Ticket prices will soon be released though there are rumors that the best seats will hit a ridiculous cost of Php 50,000. SM though was quick to dismiss it.
