Once upon a time, we were perfectly happy with boring 2D cinemas, but ‘ya know, who wouldn’t want to enjoy more dimensions? And more effects?
If you’ve been to an amusement park, then you are familiar with the “4d experience,” which creates an immersive experience with the help of physical effects like moving chairs, fake lightning, smoke, mist and even odor.
Well, Bonifacio High Street Cinemas just added two new elements that take to the 4d experience to a different level: snow and rain.
Why settle for watching the characters get soaked when you can get wet too?
Well, not that wet.
The new effects made their debut at the Mar 16 screening of the much-anticipated Disney film Beauty and the Beast. It’s a tale as old as time, but modern theater technology gave it a new twist.
Imagine actually seeing snowflakes as Belle and the Beast have a snowfight. Or getting a spritz of water onto your head as one of the characters get soaked. Definitely surprising, but also fun.
We can’t guarantee that you won’t feel a bit dizzy as the chairs heave up and down, and roll side to side — but hey, it’s worth the ride. You will feel like you are part of the breathtaking action.
