This we just had to see.
“The confrontation between Regal Films matriarch Lily “Mother Lily” Monteverde was reportedly triggered when Lorenzo called the movie’s director Jose Javier Reyes ‘malas’ or unlucky,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report explained that “Lorenzo and Reyes had a rift in 2012 over the talent manager’s ward, actress Judy Ann Santos, agreeing to do a film with the director allegedly without his consent.”
So when Lorenzo ran into Reyes at the press conference for the movie, Somebody to Love, there was tension. (The verbal smackdown starts at around 0:57.)
Mother Lily, though, didn’t seem to like Lorenzo tagging the director of her movie as “malas.” Thus, she let it rip. Later, she called Lorenzo “the devil.”
Lorenzo ended up walking out of the venue. He said, though, that he would talk to Mother Lily once things cool down.
As for Reyes, he tweeted his thanks to Mother Lily.
By the way, the movie stars Carla Abellana, Matteo Guidicelli, Jason Abalos, Maricar Reyes, Isabelle Daza, and Iza Calzado.
