Looks who’s going global!
Singer Pops Fernandez announced on her Instagram account today that she will be one of the featured judges of the new CBS talent show The World’s Best, hosted by British presenter James Corden.
In her first Instagram post about the show, she wrote that she’s one of the “50 #WalloftheWorld judges.”
The show’s official website lists Fernandez as one of “The World’s Best Experts,” along with 49 others, such as Swiss stuntwoman Petra Sprecher, Mongolian rapper Rokit Bay, and Scottish journalist Ross King.
The show will also have “superstar judges” including actress Drew Barrymore, drag queen RuPaul Charles, and singer Faith Hill.
According to the site, the show will feature talents from different parts of the globe. Aside from impressing Barrymore, Charles, and Hill, the contestants have to “break through the ‘wall of the world.'”
Only one act can win the competition.
Fernandez wrote in her post that the show will premiere in the United States on Feb. 3 (U.S. time), right after the Super Bowl.
She also posted a photo looking oh-so-fab while holding the Philippine flag.
Fernandez also reposted a short clip from Barrymore which showed the TNT Boys, a singing trio composed of Filipino boys, competing on the show. At the end of the clip, Barrymore is shown heaping praises on the trio.
Fernandez wrote: “They are amazing and [I] was so proud to witness their outstanding performance… catch them at @theworldsbestcbs … lets (sic) cheer for them #Philippines.”
Fernandez’s fans are super stoked for the singer, who has recently been inactive in the local entertainment industry.
One fan said she’s proud of Fernandez.
