Families airing out their dirty laundry seems par for the course in Philippine showbiz. Who can forget the infamous 2019 wrestling match that the Barretto sisters got involved in at their father’s wake, one that was witnessed by President Rodrigo Duterte himself?
Despite Pinoy celebrities’ penchant for public drama, however, fans were still shocked that Sarah Wurtzbach released a series of Instagram Stories over the weekend where she lambasted her sister, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, and their mother, Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall.
For unclear reasons, Sarah called out Pia for having a “horrible attitude” and for “dragging people who are not involved” into their spat.
Tagging Pia’s account, Sarah said, “You don’t want to support your only sibling and then you always involve people who are not part of the discussion. If only people knew how horrible your and mama’s behavior is; just because I keep silent doesn’t mean I’m the one who is wrong here. I am the one who has to remain understanding when I was the one who was abused. You a**holes.”
In another post, Sarah wrote about how Pia allegedly treats her when the latter gives her money.
“I’m broke because I have a normal job. With 2 kids. But when you give me money, you will say, ‘Before, this was my salary for one month. Now, it’s just loose change,'” Sarah said.
“B*tch I’m still there. I’m just earning your one-month salary that’s why I’m asking for your help. You’re being insensitive because you made it.” She added that all she wanted was Pia’s “time and company [and] bonding.”
Even Pia’s boyfriend, Beautiful Destinations founder and chief executive officer Jeremy Jauncey, was mentioned in Sarah’s online rant. Sarah said that she had always been Pia’s emotional crutch whenever the beauty queen gets into a quarrel with Jauncey, but the former Miss Universe allegedly doesn’t give the same emotional support to her sister.
“You will cry to me because you fought with Jeremy then I’ll comfort you for an hour because you instigated the fight, even if your reasons are shallow [but] go I’m here for you sis, I’ll even give advice, but when it comes to me you give nothing. What’s that? One way system?” lamented Sarah.
She also said that Jauncey asked for her help when their mother, Tyndall, released a video that was allegedly damaging for Beautiful Destinations’ clients.
“[I’m] triggered because our Judas of a mother has ruined other people. Jeremy talked to me about mama’s video on YouTube. He had a problem with his clients. He spoke to me so you won’t feel anxious or stressed. I had to take care of it,” Sarah said.
“Even if I was the one who was triggered and depressed because of mommy, I chose to take care of it because I didn’t want you to be stressed…I’m the one who protects your feelings but you can’t do the same for me. And you lie,” Sarah alleged.
Pia’s sister also alleged that the beauty queen and Tyndall are encouraging her to leave her husband Charlie Manze because he had failed to financially support their family.
“You and mama are the same. You abuse the system. All you think about are yourselves. And you always blame Charlie, when he isn’t involved in this. You want me to leave him because he doesn’t have money? See? Money, money, money. And he smokes weed all the time? Wait a minute…” Sarah wrote.
Sarah then demanded an apology from Pia and said that her older sister should not threaten her.
Sarah also shared a screenshot of her messages to Pia, which the beauty queen allegedly ignored.
“See? No reply. You’re the one who started a fight but you don’t want to settle it. Then don’t,” Sarah fumed.
Sarah also said that she was raped, and alleged that her mother has said that she deserved it.
“People keep wondering how I lost the weight? Because our abusive mother said that I deserved to be raped because I’ve been crazy since I was a child. And that it was better for [my] children to be in a ‘strangers” family because their mother is crazy,” she said.
“So abused= crazy? And I’m never allowed to talk about it? So suffer in silence while everyone is okay and moving forward?” Sarah asked.
Sarah ended her rant by writing, “Instead of supporting me emotionally, I am told that I can’t talk because it would ruin everything you worked hard for? And I am told, ‘why do you want to get back at her so bad.’ F*ck you.”
At present, Sarah has changed her Instagram account to private. Pia has yet to issue a statement regarding her sister’s behavior.
