Oh no, the star of Be Careful With My Heart has been sick for a week now; she actually has dengue fever and is confined at the hospital. “Late last week pa may sakit si Jodi and we just learned yesterday that she has dengue. Singer Ogie Alcasid shared with Pep.ph that Mang Gerry, the father of his wife Regine Velasquez, is “still in the hospital” and that “he’s been there for a month.” Ogie said that his father-in-law is getting better but that it’s also “a day-to-day battle.” He said that it’s hard for the family and that it’s a struggle “so the best thing to do really is to pray for him and the family.”

Congrats to Jericho Rosales for bringing home the Achievement in Acting award for his performance in the movie Alagwa, which he also co-produced together with Ian Lorenos. The movie, which is about a single father looking for his missing son, won the festival’s Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature. So far, the movie has won nine awards from different film fests, while Echo has won four acting awards because of the film. The actor has expressed his gratitude through his socal media accounts, and has posted in his blog: “Thank you so much Ian Lorenos for giving me the most meaningful movie role to date in my career. Congratulations to us and our entire ‘Alagwa’ team! We have great actors in our movie, as well as artists and crew with big hearts. We’ve taken the film around the world, and now it comes home to the Philippines. I can’t wait for all of you to see it — malapit na!”
