1. ROY ALVAREZ PASSES AWAY
The character actor passed away yesterday, Feb. 11, due to cardiac arrest. He was 63 years old. Roy was part of the ongoing GMA soap Villa Quintana and was also seen in other GMA shows My Husband’s Lover, Amaya, Unforgettable, and Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis.

2. THREE PINOY FILMS MAKE IT TO OSAKA ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL
Congrats to the Philippines for having the most number of entries to the festival! The three Pinoy films out of the seven entries are Sigrid Andrea Bernardo’s Huling Cha-cha ni Anita, Jerrold Tarog’s Sana Dati, and Siege Ledesma’s Shift. We’ve seen Sana Dati, a Cinemalaya Film Festival entry last year, and we were blown away. Starring Benjamin Alves, Lovi Poe, and Paulo Avelino, romantic drama is the perfect mix of mainstream and indie, proving that film fest entries can be a hit with the masses yet still be visually beautiful and unique.

3. XIAN LIM SENDS BEA BINENE FLOWERS

Looks like the Kapamilya actor really wants to clear his name after poking fun at a Kim Chiu Kalokalike and saying that she’s Bea Binene. He recently sent the real Bea Binene flowers and a letter, and Bea posted a photo of these peace offerings in Instagram last Feb. 10. In the letter he said, “I just want to apologize for what happened during Chinese New Year. I want you to know na I didn’t mean it as an insult noong banggitin ko ang pangalan mo. Thanks po for understanding and sorry for everything.” Bea on the toher hand cpaitoned the photo with, “I was surprised when I saw this when I got home. Thank you, @xianlim! 4. ANNE CURTIS NOW HAS OVER 6 MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS

5. VILMA SANTOS ON RUMORED WEDDING OF LUIS MANZANO AND ANGEL LOCSIN

The Star of All Seasons does not want to say whether the two have gotten back together or not. She just wants us to watch her son’s show Minute To Win It to find out. She also clarified with Pep.ph that it’s not true that she does not favour the two’s reconciliation. In fact, she never meddles when it comes to her son’s love life. So how is her relationship with Angel? She shared that they text but that they haven’t talked again yet. As for that rumored wedding, she said that she will only talk “kung plantsado na ang lahat.”
