Our rapid-fire roundup of things happening in Philippine showbiz.
1. MARIAN MOBBED IN VIETNAM
You might think that Marian Rivera being a hit in Vietnam is nothing, because there are lots of Pinoys there, and her shows Marimar and Dyesebel have been shown there. But when the Kapuso star, whose show Temptation of Wife is currently showing in Vietnam, arrived there last Nov. 3, she herself was pleasantly surprised because more than Pinoys, Vietnamese fans welcomed her warmly. “Hindi ko nga maintindihan ang mga sinasabi nila!” she told Pep.ph, adding that they went to church and that she was surprised when she was mobbed. Even the venue for her press con there got filled up quickly that the organizers had to stop letting people in. Look at the photo from the Official Dongyanatics Facebook page above to see just how much Vietnam loves Marian.

Life has surely changed for the actor, after splitting from wife Claudine Barretto and being involved in a legal battle with her. Because of a gag order he doesn’t get to spend time with their kids, Sabina and Santino, but told Inquirer that they can hopefully “be together soon.” He shared that he is devoting most of his time with his siblings and their mother. In fact, he feels blessed he’s got the support of his family, especially from brothers Randy and Rowell. The Kapuso actor is also grateful that he’s got work to keep him busy; he’s part of the new GMA 7 series Villa Quintana, where he plays the adoptive dad to Isagani (Elmo Magalona). Since he has a lot of time on his hands, he’s been taking better care of his health, running and doing circuit training. And it shows. Raymart looks like he’s handling this challenging phase in his life pretty well, right?

There is no doubt how charming and adorable Kris Aquino’s son is. Talented, too, just like his mom. In fact, Bimby has been showing promise as a showbiz personality. After guesting on his mom’s TV show Kris TV and appearing in commercials, the child star now has a movie coming up called My Little Bossings, together with his mom, Vic Sotto, and GMA 7 child star Ryzza Mae Dizon. And since we’re talking about Aling Maliit, who is the youngest TV host in the country, Bimby also wants to have his own TV show just like Ryzza and his mom. What will he call it? The Bimby Show, he told ABS-CBN News.

KC Concepcion has finally addressed Paulo Avelino’s recent revelation that they’re dating, but she sounded a little defensive when she mentioned online that she is “not dating anyone EXCLUSIVELY” and that while they enjoy each other’s company, it’s “nothing serious right now.” Let’s wait and see where this will go.

Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica is in a love triangle; Kylie Padilla is his girlfriend while Kris Bernal is his ka-love team. Exepctedly, things can get messy when fans enter the picture. But Aljur is handling things pretty well, addressing fans who could get a little too passionate about the girl he should be with. Asked by Inquirer for his thoughts on the issue, he shared that he feels he should put an end to all the negativity. His message for their fans? “Guys, we are thankful for all your support. We understand that you love your idols and your idols love you, too. But I have one message to all of you: let us love one another. That’s what we want.”
