1. ENCHONG’S BIRTHDAY WISH: A GIRL
Hottie Enchong Dee turned 25 last Nov. 5 and he’s revealed some birthday wishes. First is for Yolanda to be the last devastating typhoon the country will experience. Second is all about his career. And last is for him to meet The Girl so that when he goes home, “inspired ka, hindi yung pagod na pagod ka.” He also revealed that he’s actually eyeing someone already and that she’s not from showbiz. 2. METRO MANILA HAS 5 NOMINATIONS IN BRITISH FILM AWARDS

Things are looking good for the local movie industry. Not only are our movies getting shown in more and more festivals abroad, more and more people from outside are producing films in/about the Philippines. Take, for example, UK filmmaker Sean Ellis, who wrote and directed Metro Manila, which is about a farmer who brings his family to the metropolis so they can have a good life, but end up in a very complicated situation. The movie is nominated in five categories in the 16th annual Moet British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs): Best British Independent Film, Best Director (Ellis), Best Supporting Actor (John Arcilla), Most Promising Newcomer (Jake Macapagal), and Best Achievement in Production. Let’s see which awards they’ll win during the awarding ceremony in London on Dec. 8.

She arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Tuesday at 3pm, and told everyone that while she’s happy to be back, she also feels sad about the effects of typhoon Yolanda. According to News5 reporter MJ Marfori (who also took the photo above), Ariella now considers not winning the Miss U crown a blessing because she now has all the time to help out Yolanda victims.

That’s what Ruffa Gutierrez revealed during the press con for her family’s reality show called It Takes Gutz to be a Guttierez last Nov. 7. She explained that that’s based on feng shui and that the result is a not-so-happening love life. She’s been sleeping on the wrong side of the room for two years already and to address this, she now sleeps inside the former room of brother Raymond in Dasmarinas Village. Let’s see how soon we’ll notice the developments.

The singer revealed to Pep.ph that he is no longer with Warner Philippines after Warner International decided to let go of Filipino musicians. According to Warner’s former publicist, “international na lang hawak nila, since three months ago.” Ebe is now currently “homeless” but has already started talking with some labels, although he hasn’t signed up with any of them yet. His promise to fans: new songs, new album next year. It’s also obvious how the former vocalist of Sugarfree has lost some weight (look at the photo above by Noel Orsal). He revealed that he wants to “live a long, healthy life” so he’s been running and also watching what he eats.
